Mercer County Wind Study
Mercer County Board has teamed up with the Mercer County Hospital, Mercer County Nursing Home, Medical Associates Clinic and the Aledo School District to determine the feasibility of installing a wind turbine.
Interstate RC&D successfully completed a grant request to the Illinois Clean Energy Foundation to study the wind resources and to locate a wind turbine to supply the energy needs of these partners. The Illinois Clean Energy Foundation awarded $14,000 for this study and the partnership is contributing $6,000. The study is expected to be completed by June 2007.
